Snaps & Stories
I find the Antarctic region is as fascinating as it is beautiful and so I'm thrilled to be able to share my experiences with you.
On Instagram, I'm sharing my travel notes, photos & videos in chronological, trip report fashion.
Slowly posting everything I find intriguing about the area's history, landscape, wildlife and conservation - from recent trips (see more below) to this region aboard the M/V Hans Hansson.

Just back from a circumnavigation of the Falkland Islands aboard (my favorite boat) the Hans Hansson! Stay tuned...
So excited to be aboard the 86 ft/26m M/Y Hans Hansson once again! This time I was one of 10 guests on combination "fly/cruise" to the Antarctic Peninsula. Flying over the Drake Passage to allowed us more time to explore the South Shetland Islands, the Antarctic Peninsula - and, of course, the Bransfield Strait!
I had the pleasure of visiting the sub-Antarctic island of South Georgia for a one-month cruise aboard the M/Y Hans Hansson with scientists from PenguinWatch. Witnessing nature at its finest with the island's abundance of wildlife - including Southern elephant seals, penguins, albatross and fur seals - each in various life stages. With just 16 of us on board (including the crew), it made for an intimate encounter with this legendary island.
